Artist's Comments

Okay, after about three months (off & on), I think it's finally finished.... ;)
Here's the original stock photo from StockXchange Link I wish I knew who originally took the photo, but it seems to have disappeared from the stock site. Either way, here is the link so you can compare/contrast....

Enjoy, and Full-View please!

Thank you, yeah, I think I smudged the hair out a bit too much though... needs some texture I guess... hmm.

(sorry, you know for what ;-))
You know what impressed me the most when i saw this work? I hadn't realice of the cathegory and thought "what a great painting..."
That's what i like the most about this work, seems more (much more) a digital painting than a photomanipulation, of course i think your skills are good enough for this and more, much more ;-)
Love the colors used, i guess the ones in the original pic (i'm sorry i can't compare...) but for me that warm powerful red on the hair works really great in contrast with the cold grey/green on the background... don't even need to say that love the background (really looks like a courtain...) and the hair, somehow reminds me of wool :D maybe you could had make it even more beautiful by adding some sheen but just as it is looks so good :-)
And the skin is fantastic... love the tones on it, and how you worked both eyes and lips... oh, and i think the eyeshadow adds a so beautiful and original touch to her face...
Well... just say finishing that the empty black half of the background (at least for me...) balances the load and the composition of the work perfectly :-)
Oh... and yes, maybe is a little blurry... but i just don't care at all, that blur is just what adds the image that wonderful feeling of digital painting... ;-)
:glomp: much love Fel, keep on doing that great works from you, i love them :-)
